help to ease your care giving burden? I’ve
personally witnessed countless numbers of care givers,
both professional and family, radically enhance and
improve their care giver/care recipient relationships by
drawing on the inspirational stories and lessons learned
throughout my book.
So YES!! read books on the subject of dementia
care. READ MINE!
And I invite you to then contact me, and share your
meaningful connections and successful affirmative
communication experiences as you lovingly navigate this
mystifying dementia care journey with your loved one or
clients."

"Although there are many books about dementia, far too few give
voice to people living with dementia. Laura Wayman's A Loving
Approach to Dementia Care places the person at the center of a
remarkable journey of understanding. A universe of choice comes
into being when meaningful connections develop between the people
who are giving and receiving care and Wayman shows us how person
and relationship can take precedence over diagnosis and disease.
This is an exceptionally valuable contribution to the literature."
"An
amazing book that focuses on the people involved in the journey of
care giving. Readers will be able to relate to the stories that
Laura Wayman tells, and having her insights is like having your
own personal caregiver trainer, complete with invaluable tips and
strategies. This is an excellent guide--a must read for
caregivers."

with the Person Who Has Alzheimer’s Disease or Other Dementia or
Memory Loss, Denise Pedersen is a Certified Grief Recovery
Specialist. She founded the Sean Sullivan Project Inc. in 2004 to
reach out and help bereaved families in the Roseville/Sacramento,
California area. On September 19, 2004 Denise lost her oldest
child and only son, Sean Patrick Sullivan in a single automobile
accident. She didn't know where to turn, so she reached out to
other's in her community that were traveling the same journey,
which soon turned in to a thriving grief support group in the
Northern California area. Denise has personally reached out to
hundreds of hurting people after the loss of a child. She decided
to take the pain of losing her son and become a blessing and
source of hope. In February of 2010, Denise married Alan Pedersen,
an award winning songwriter, successful recording artist and
nationally recognized speaker on grief and loss, and a few days
later they began the
www.AngelsAcrosstheUSA.com tour which is sponsored in part by
bereaved families in honor of their children, grandchildren, and
siblings. Together they travel to 120+ cities and feature at least
one concert event in each of the 48 states. The goal of this 2010
tour is to raise community awareness and draw media attention
toward local grief organizations that provide resources for the
bereaved. Denise also co-writes articles for National Magazines
with her husband Alan.
